Is this LoveSign EP an official release?? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/...:WN:UK:203
It looks like a bootleg to me  . What do you think? I've seen a 3 track version that i was looking to buy with a Video Mix, Storyboard Mix and 1-800 New Funk version. If this EP is official what would you recommend. Thanks for y'all's help. |

Not 2 sure about that 1, but im sure he did release "lovesign" but the cover was black with "lovesign" in red! maybe wrong! Keenmeister |

It appears to be a bootleg of the unreleased maxi-single (although, I don't remember it having that many mixes). There was never an official single, due to WB putting the kibosh on a second bellmark single or EP.

That's a lot of cash to pay for a bootleg! I only paid about £10 for the pucker promo cd, plus I couldn't give a tinker's for those extra re-mixes. All orgnotes and emails requesting trades or how to acquire bootleggage will be ignored. - The ThreadKiller - | |

I saw a Lovesign maxi single with about 5 mixes in Prince's shop in Camden (94/95)

The promo cd has 3 mixes
Radio Edit The 1-800 NEW FUNK Version The Story Board Video Mix Its a cdr cat # 060605 NPG Made in Germany by optimal Interestingly, the inside of the cover has what appears to be cover art for some forthcoming NPG records - Nona Gaye A Woman's Gotta Have It, Mayte If I Love U 2Night, Margie Cox, George Clinton hey man.., Mavis Staples The Voice, MPLS, Gold Nigga and MADHOUSE 24!! Underneath is printed "Also available on NPG Records: o(+> The Beautiful Experience 006021 NPG GEORGE CLINTON- hey man...smell my finger 006053 NPG, MPG NEW POWER GENERATION-Gold Nigga 006052 NPG - Mavis Staples The Voice 006054 NPG" I find this interesting, (not least for the shelved projects) as these are obviously the cat# for the NPG versions of these discs, but Gold Nigga actually doesn't have a cat # anywhere on the disc or artwork. I assume these started being printed on with hey man.. Now I've typed it all in it seems a rather pointless post, but I'll be buggered if I'm going to delete it! Don't understand the reference to "item from 2002 not 1987" if there's no copyright info on the cd where are they getting this claim from? I'm not saying they didn't receive a pirate, I'd just think a little more research would be in order. Having said that they have claimed bootleg/pirate discs on a couple of other auctions as well.
