it's not so much a scream.. but man, i'm jealous of the voice he uses during "still would stand all time" (small club cd). it's like preaching with a sore throat; "please lord, out there" and "never on sunday, but aaalways on monday" etc. just wish i could do that.

On the long version of "America", about midway through, he is going wild on his guitar and lets out a scream that is just too cool. It melts prefectly into the sound of the screaming guitar.
Also the unreleased long version of "Computer Blue" has some great screams after the hallway speech. 8) | |

Have to agree with mannix 59 - this is screaming in a whole different league. If you're looking at albums, Purple Rain is the real screamer. Maybe that's what is needed today on the odd ocassion- the odd scream here and there does a whole world of wonders Everybody is special. Everybody. Everybody is a hero, a lover, a fool, a villain. Everybody. Everybody has their story to tell. |
