Prince road trip albums

I was listening to the "Reflection Room" and realized they were playing the CD I take on road trips. What is your absolute MUST have Prince album for a road trip?

None! I love P just like everyone else here but listening to his god awful music on road trips or on a daily basis is just PATHETIC! I listen to burned CD's of various new artists.
Haters travel in packs and they are offended or threatened by klhk, haters express intense hostility toward the subject of hate. Haters are annoyed and roll thier eyes when klhk is paid a compliment. ask yourself, are u a hater?

Nice topic as a US road trip is one of my biggest ambitions.

Dirty Mind - Especially for Uptown, Do It All Night, Gotta Broken Heart Again. Good album to listen to as the sun sets upon a blue skies day.

The Gold Experience - Endorphinemachine, We March (yes, somebody likes it), Now.

Musicology - Love it. The Marrying Kind/If Eye Was The Man In Ur Life combo is a killer.

Somebody come up with a Prince Road Trip compilation, eh?

KLHK: How in the world can you say you love prince like everyone else here and then call his music God awful?

That's odd...

A road trip would not be complete without 1999. The whole album is classic!

IMO, most of his current music has sucked big time. But of course I still buy his albums as soon as it hits stores, so what does Prince care if I like it or not so long as he got his peice of the pie. Emancipation was his last great album, I been saying it for years. And he won't even play Emancipation songs in concert.

Good choices. Here's my compilation of fun or interesting songs for a travel compilation:

Play In The Sunshine
Lady Cab Driver
IIWYG
Jam of the Year
Mountains
Take Me With U
Fascination
Come On
Gett Off (housestyle)
All The Critics Love U In New York
When U Were Mine
Private Joy
Why Ya Wanna Treat Me So Bad?
Soft and Wet
Now
Hot Wit' U
1+1+1=3

that's it for now.

SOTT and 1999 should do the trick.

This topic is much appreciated, as I will be doing a lot of traveling over my spring break here in the next few days!!!~

I'm po' so I go Greyhound for my travelling.. a personal favorite of mine, to put on repeat and fall asleep to, is "Goodbye"... Even though it's not the happiest song, the melody and P.'s voice are lovely to fall asleep to on this song... as well as wake up to!~

Any other suggestions?~

I take Parade and Lovesexy. They keep me upbeat and energized on long trips.

The Vault is a great CD for night time road trips. Dark, lonely roads - slight chill in the air, crack the windows...

ATWIAD or Parade... but a friend made me a kick-ass 5-disc compilation which would be great road-trip material.

You might want to make one of your own with all the P songs that you love the best.

Might be cheating, but the Hits/The B-Sides makes one hell of a road mix. Nary a bad song in the whole bunch (though some might make an argument for I Love U in Me).

I'm suprised no one has said Purple Rain - that is a must-have for me on road trips.
