Why do albums with lukewarm/bad reviews make the best concerts? TRC
Lovesexy Musicology Emancipation NPS all received a lot of less than glowing-to mixed reviews from the Prince fan base, yet the tours that supported are held in the highest esteem? how is that? you look better on your facebook page than you do in person

Emancipation and Musicology had better than "luke warm" reviews.

i've seen a lot of criticism of both cd's on here...not necessarily saying that peeps thought they were "bad" albums, just that they were disappointed in some part of it you look better on your facebook page than you do in person

Oh for sure on prince.org you'll find criticisms of MOST of his albums. People are freaks around here. You could get a thread started on how bad "purple rain" is if you wanted to..... "New Power slide...."

I'd agree with you more if you had listed Parade as an album with a lukewarm reception and a kick-ass tour. Check out The Mountains and the Sea, a Prince podcast by yours truly and my wife. More info at https://www.facebook.com/TMATSPodcast/
