If Hollywood decided to make a movie about Prince's life, who would you wanna see play Prince?

And you can't answer Prince, cause he can't act. Say it was a serious, high quality drama like Ray, only this time for Prince. Who could play the little guy?

Nobody's good enough except Prince himself. No one else would be as engaging as the real thing and I couldn't stand watching anyone else.

But would you really wanna see Prince act again?

Prince is a horrible actor! The only person I've seen who can pull off a beleivable Prince is Phil Lamar.

I have yet to see Phil Lamar's portrayal of prince (though I desperately want to) but Dave Chapelle's prince was pretty impressive

Now that would be interesting. For some reason, he resembled Prince a little bit to me, in "La Bamba" but he's older now. He still looks good though but I don't know if he could capture Prince's look.

The person that reminded me the most of Prince was from a movie in 1980 called "Defiance". I don't know the actor's name but he was hispanic and played the gang leader named Angel Cruz. This guy walked around in a black leather trench coat with a bad ass brim hat. He had a lot of Prince's gestures too. He barely spoke in the movie, he just nodded to the gang members to beat the hell out of someone. lol He's older now too.

I think the only person that could play Prince nowadays would be someone unknown.

There's no doubt in my mind that he could pull it off in his younger days.

Esai from "La Bamba" in the late 1980s:

Here are some more recent pictures of Esai:

You may be right. With the right hair and makeup, Esai might still could pull it off.

This is the guy (underneath this post) I was talking about in the movie "Defiance". He's the guy in the background. This is not a very good picture but it is the only one I could find. You would have to see the actual movie to see the resemlance to Prince.

You cannot be serious.

How in the sam hill could that guy pull off being a black guy with an afro? You do remember the afro Prince started out with right? Plus he's too tall.

That portrayal would come off as bad as Wood Harris as Jimi Hendrix.lol
