If U were hosting a Prince Hour Radio Show which 10 tracks would U play and why?

My choices:

Little Red Corvette: Prince's first ever Top 10 Hit from the double album 1999 which was his first album release with backing group The Revolution.

When Doves Cry: Prince's first No. I from the multi award winning album Purple Rain which shot Prince to superstardom.

Raspberry Beret: Hit single from the follow up to Purple Rain, Around the World in a Day when Prince famously announced he was to retire from performing live.

A Love Bizzare: An example of Prince's many colaberation projects, here with Sheila E. His songs have also become hits for the likes of Sheena Easton, the Bangles, Sinead O'Connor and Chaka Khan.

Kiss: Prince's first No. 1 since Purple Rain

Sign O' The Times: Title track from the critically acclaimed double album which many consider his best work.

Alphabet St.: Prince pulled the follow up to Sign O' the Times at the last minute thinking The Black Album too dark and replaced it with his Rock Gospel project Lovesexy. This hit single was his first release from the album.

Cream: After a poorly recieved sequal to Purple Rain in the form of Graffiti Bridge Prince was back on top with the commercial sucess of the Diamonds & Pearls Album. Cream was the biggest hit from the album reaching No. 1.

Avalanche: Pioneering the market in internet music downloads, much of Prince's more recent work has only been available to fans in this format. This is an example of the quality of the musicianship here performed live on the One Nite Alone Tour.

Musicology: After the dust settled on Prince's long term feud with Warners Prince has turned mainstream once again with this release from Sony Records. Musicology is the title track from the album which also won Prince two grammy awards.

Hmmmm...I would probably play songs from every era chronologicaly to show how Prince has evolved as a musician. My pics would be:

I wanna be your lover- This song is very poppy but it is a great song

Head- Shows how sexual he has become and how dancable his early songs were.

DMSR- Cool new wave sound. When I used to hear this on the radio growing up I thought it sounded like nothing I had ever hear. It is such a cool song.

When Doves cry- Such an original sound and how can you help but love this song!

Kiss- Again chatchy, original. It went to the top of the charts for a reason!

Housequake- This song just makes me wanna dance. Shows how funky he is!

Theives in the Temple-Love the drums, the beat, how sad it is yet danceable!

Endorphenmachine- He totally rocks out on this song! I love the guitar riff!

Loose!- This song is awsome. It sounds techno but industrial as well. It sounds very much like Nine inch Nails back around that time.

Call my name- Shows is R&B style. Beautiful ballad but yet not sappy.

God Prince is my favorite artist of all time! Look how much he has acopmplished!
