Favorite TRC tracks... I can't wait 4 Prince to hit L.A. and hear him perform TRC live! I may b in the minority here but the title track is my favorite track off TRC-- great guitar and jazz vibe, his vocals are exquisite. Next is Muse 2 the Pharaoh...then Mellow... although She Loves Me 4 Me, Last December, The Work Pt.1 and The Everlasting Now are not far behind. The funky 1+1+1 is 3 and Family Name---ooohweee! Even The Wedding Feast is a feast to the ears-- of course, if you love classical/opera! The whole album is just f---ing fantastic! Prince should have named his current tour, The Rainbow Children tour and released a single off it-- She Loves Me 4 Me would have been a good first single-- I bet he'd be selling more albums right now! Oh well...wishful thinking!

lyrics of the work pt. 1 seemed too silly to me at first but now i think they're as funky as the rest of it. it's probably my favorite TRC track.

Hearing the songs live in concert will make you like the songs even more. I went away from the Chicago concert with a deeper appreciation of TRC. I enjoyed vibing to songs others did not know. I could tell who had copies of TRC. TRC is an awesome opening song for this tour.

I have a feeling this tour is/will be selling a lot of copies of Rainbow Children because of his performing so much stuff from it. It may not be such a commercial disappointment come this time next year, just a slow burner. Of course the people buying won't be of the MTV mindset.
Anyway, my favorite track is between Everywhere and She Loves me 4 Me. I wish Prince would perform Everywhere live. That would be great. Altho, John B. would probably be worn out after that one!

Too many moments, but I felt the melody of Digital Garden, the Sensual Everafter and 1+1+1is3 1st time I heard them.
The songs that took a little more attention were Muse 2 The Pharaoh, Mellow, Family Name and Last December, each of which now I'm enjoying incredibly. The Work pt.1 and She Loves 4 Me said 'release it as a single' all over them. Perfect for the pop market! The Rainbow Children title track just keeps getting better and better, love the lines stolen fron Sexuality, the Camille-esque vocals AND that instrumental at the end. The gem for me is Everywhere. Gets me dancing all over the place and lifts me up. Love that bass part in the middle! And the Everlasting Now, how could I forget that one. Brilliant beat, sterling lyrics and vocal performance and a taste of what Days of Wild could have been on the Gold Experience with that studio/live vibe to it. 1+1+1 = 3, Family Name, The Work Part I... Now that I think about it, I love every song on that album except 4 Wedding Feast, which doesn't really count anyway. The Mothership Connection... Funk, Soul, R&B, & Jazz every Monday night @ 8:00 p.m. Listen @ www.wqaq.com (We are off the air 4 the Summer. Returning in early September 2004)

What can I say: I like every track on TRC, except Wedding Feast (but that one's probably a joke) and Last December (a bit too epic for me).
It's impossible to say which one I like best, but I probably settle for Family Name or Everlasting Now. But I really love to hear this album from beginning to end. The flow is incredible, it's so coherent. I never thought I would ever say that about a Prince album. I mean, most of his albums are quite inconsistent, the most incredible tracks are followed by utter crap... RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...

"She loves me 4 me", very deep track especially if U have the inspiration in your life 2 fit the song. "Last December",very uplifting (ie."Gold","Emancipation")

I love the entire album, but to pick my favorites, I'd have to say Digital Garden, The Everlasting Now and Last December.

Where's Kip on this tour? I wanted to hear Kip and Mr.Nelson sing this on tour. Why? Kip isn't needed on this song and certainly not on this tour!

Tough call. But the 1st 15 minutes are amazing. Everything is right on.
U said that it's a bit of a shame that he didn't release any singles off the album, but I think he did. The Work was released 2 napster a long time before the album dropped. And personally, I think that's a bit of a shame. Because the album is so good, and plays as 1 whole experience, it's a bit annoying 2 have this song sitting in the middle that U've been listening 2 for all this time. U get the urge 2 skip it since U allready know it by heart. So it doesn't really feel like part of the album anymore. But that's just me.
