I AM A NEWBIE AND HAVE REALLY ENJOYED THE ORG SINCE I FOUND IT...AND AS I READ IT MORE AND MORE THERE IS THIS "SOMETHING" OR "IT" ABOUT PRINCE THAT BRINGS US ALL TOGETHER.. RACE, FAITH, NO FAITH, AGE, $$ OR NO $$, ETC ETC.. THERE IS THIS SOMETHING ABOUT HIS MUSIC THAT TOUCHES US DEEP.
I KNOW SOME JUNK LIKE THE "FUNK" BUT.. I THINK MOST OF US FIND SOMETHING DEEPER...WHAT IS IT 4 U?

It used to be the magical element and the incredible songs
now it's a mixture of good music and sentiment.

It's not just that we love him 4 the work he does, but Prince is a world un2 himself. He appeals 2 all kinds of folks 4 different reasons, but I love whenever I meet another Prince fan. It's like some1 who speaks your language.

For me it's Prince's transcending the barriers of black and white music and style. Mixing rock & soul, blues, synthesizers and psychedelia. The Revolution and the NPG are black and white groups like Sly and the Family Stone and the Jimi Hendrix Experince. Prince's mixing hardcore sex songs with romance. Spirituality without religion (before Larry Graham got him into the Jehovah's Witness thing). Bringing different kinds of people together. Opening people's minds.

everything about him is aesthetically pleasing (looking past height here people) therefor i likes lol

his music catalogue is basically my survival guide...i can listen 2 any song to heal/promote any emotion i'm feeling...prince is one of my examples of straying from the norm and still being successful, and i hope 2, in my own way of course, be able to accomplish the same in my future...he's just that good.
