Prince's No Show According to Roger Friedman of Fox News.com the following explains Prince's Mysterious no show at the Grammy Awards:
In an article about the attendees of Clive Davis Pre-Grammy Party he says: "...and a late-arriving, early leaving, Mona Lisa-smiling Prince. (Prince had good reason to exit "early," though: He was hosting his own middle-of-the-night show and party up in the Hollywood Hills, the first of many this week, according to friends.)" So Mr Partyman obviously had better things to do... x x Dream as if you will live 4ever, Live as if you will die 2morro.

Hmmm...I don't know what to think of that. I know he's had issues with the Grammies before, but after last year, when they gave him the opening slot, and the especially with 2004 being so amazing, I'd have thought he'd be over it. Besides, if they are living in Hollywood Hills, it's not like it's a long trip to get there.

I doubt he has "issues" with the Grammys now. Looks like he just preferred to do something else. I don't think it's really all that big of a deal.

Ya know....maybe he didn't think he'd win and figured "why bother practicin' my 'gracious loser' face when I can be out partying"
I mean...most of us a quite pleasantly surprised with his wins right?

Who cares why he did what he did... WHAT DID HE PLAY AT THE AFTERSHOW !!!???
And when can we hear it? My 2cent on why no show? He probably could not stomach seeing James & Usher from the front row...

I'm guessing he or Mani were sick. Judging from the photos at Clive's party, it looks like the flu to me. Maybe he thought he could make it through the show, but felt too bad and they went on home.
On the other hand, if we get reports on the setlist at the middle of the night performance, then we'll know he just decided to blow off the Grammys. Either way, I'm glad he won.

True genius. Why should we bother visiting the doctor ever again when you can diagnose illness from photographs on the org (although in this case you're not actually sure which one of two patients has the suspected ailment). . ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. It's a gift.

Hmmmmm
Usually I am not curious, but I just know there was some real reason...something we would understand if we knew. But we don't know... So...how's everybody doing?

There could be a couple of different reasons he didn't attend. Last year would've been hard to top. This one pretty much sucked and I'm glad he wasn't a part of it. Also, there may have been seating issues. You know he wants front row or at least an end seat down close. A day before the event, one of the entertainment pgms had a segment showing who was sitting where...no Prince spoken of or named seat shown.
P & Mani probably wanted to go home and get a toke and a quickie in, then still have time to fix their makeup before the guests arrived.

I enjoyed the opening, U2 and Green Day. Even John Mayer. The rest was bogus. But what do the grammys really mean? Nothing. Just a bunch of people who know nothing about music picking their favorites. That's probably why he didn't go.

Well, after reading the 3121 pre and post Grammy party report, I guess my diagnosis was wrong. Prince and Mani just look tired, or loaded, cause of all that partying they've been doing.
Good thing I got my degree in rocket science to fall back on.
