How did Prince manage to avoid the many pitfalls the industry had to offer? You know, sex, drugs, booze, lawsuits....oh wait, he's been through that. But he's still standing strong and has not let the "man" try to bring him down. Is it his faith? I'm guessing it is his faith. I'll just leave it at that.

I am gonna say his ego. I feel that Prince has tremendous faith in himself. It is apparent that he knows he is the best. He knows that , musically he can whoop most people on any given night.So he avoids the pitfalls because he knows it'd be a shame to let all of that God given talent go to waste. probably by doing what he feels like doing and not giving a shit what people think or say about him. if he did (give a shit), he'd be institutionalized or dead by now... cuz with all that god-given talent, and to be recognized as the most talented musician in the business... that's a LOT of weight on his shoulders.
