in this instance, how in the world would you know if it were true or not? you weren't attending the party or any of that...it's trite both in action and in thought. th' hell'd somebody wanna lock a bunch of folks outta a jinky party just because? it's just silly. Whoa. Alls I'm saying is sometimes Prince's actions have come across childish, diva-like, and sometimes maybe even spiteful. May or may not be the case here, but I was generalizing. And don't front, cuz' if you were invited you woulda been at that "jinky" party too.

But seriously, did Matthew Mcconaughey move in with them? Seems he's at all these parties. Hmmmm, that would explain the "look" in the pictures from Clive's party. I wonder if he brings his bongos!

You would think that PaisleyPark 9 would be a true fan - I guess she works in his NPGMC organisation or something? - but I cannot imagine a true fan would fail to report on important details like what songs were played, how long, band members etc. Hearing about all the celebrities that were there is interesting but not the whole story!
Clearly she is a celebrity-fixated hanger-on. Manolas? Just by mentioning these expensive over-rated celebrity shoes shows what she is like - she obviously does need to watch Sex in the City to have an attitude! [Edited 2/15/05 16:41pm]

This was much more fun. More people were watching "Desperate Housewives" anyway. The Grammys had their lowest rating since 1995.

[Edited 2/15/05 16:41pm] PaisleyPark9 didn't post this to the NPGMC, a Club Member by the initials VB sent it to be posted. She has some inside connections (through Mike Scott I think; not sure) and got an invite. Her posts aren't as detailed as they could be, but we're lucky to even get any report about such an exclusive event, I guess. PaisleyPark9 is also an 'account' that is used by all the moderators at the Club. One day it could be a female and another day, a male. I think Sam Jennings uses that specific account to post more often than the others.

Maceo performed a lot of his songs, sorry I don't the names of them. Prince had a woman come up and the band did a funky rendition of Aretha's "Rock Steady" while Prince played the keyboards. Sorry I can't help you with the lyrics to "3121" but I can say it's a funky song! Hope that helps

Geez, are you still upset that Prince didn't show up in person to accept a couple of gold-plated trinkets from an industry that's pretty much ignored him the past 15 years, last year not withstanding.
As far as owing it to the fans, the fans got a phenomonal tour, an excellent CD, an exquisite Rock and Roll Hall of Fame performance, a fun Grammy '04 performance, various other TV performances, and basically a whole year of excitement and loads to discuss, praise, criticize, etc. And if the Grammy voters decide to wait another 15 years or so to acknowledge him again, I don't think Prince will be too bothered about it.
