I just borrowed a copy from my sister and haven't really watched it yet, just transferred it to my 'puter so that I can watch it on 'puter without having to listen to my husband yak about me hogging the big tv to watch Prince.
I want to know, how in the hell Prince managed to get Jam and Lewis to reunite for this?? By this time they were Grammy winning producers and had a waiting list of people wanting to work with them. So how did this happen? "Remember, one man's filler is another man's killer" -- Haystack

Noone SEES Graffiti Bridge. One endures it. You tell yourself I gotta watch this because P put his heart in it and I gotta support it. Then by the millionth time the phrase "it's just around the corner" is uttered or you see that fake ass bridge or you witness the unbelieveably bad "Elephants and Flowers" scene, you can't help but go "Hmmmm, should I have been a Michael Jackson fan instead." (Then of course you turn on Court TV and see what's up with MJ now and you breathe a sigh of relief, realizing that, of course, you chose the right pop star to hitch your wagon to). I dunno, I saw The Wiz. I was NEVER tempted to be a MJ fan. Besides that, his falsetto sounds more boyish, childish, were Prince's falsetto reminds me of the smokey robinson, phillip bailey, stylistics falsetto, you know manly. It's shite. Like I said b4, It's Prince's "Moonwalker" - Self-indulgent tripe with a dislodging plot.
'dre Tried many flavours - but sooner or later, always go back to the Purple Kool-aid!

But Ingrid looks like a 13 year old boy in this film! When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

So how did this happen? ....the word this one heard from 'insiders' @ the time(TIME) was there were intense negotiations & the requirement of money up front...boyfriend pulled out all the stops 2 include Terry & Jimmy so it seems the bottom line 4 them was not LOVE (they had been there/done that enough with P) but money that sealed the deal.... ....the opening scene struck B; when Aura appeared n the room, saw him & the girl & then vanished: it was straight out of an astral projection experience i had...4 whatever purposes n the Creator's magnanimous plan, this little man is shown 2 B n public, n private & precognitively....this project remove all doubt that he was aware of the things that were occuring also & they were not vivid iMagiNation but something spiritually true we were exchanging yet obviously NOT understanding how 2 work with....& as the little black man has said.... ...IT AIN'T OVER!!!!!

if i watch graffiti bridge, the only thing i would want to see is the 10 minute sequence from when morris takes the chick to his club(where they play lovemachine) to when prince plays thieves in the temple.
the girl who dances along to the song love machine is as hot as. who is she? she would get it. style isnt something thats printed on ones ass
