Little Red Corvette/1999 vids Is it me or were Little Red COrvette and 1999 shot on the same stage?
The Little Red set and the '99 set look exactly identical. Was he trying to do something stylish or just to cheap to buy another set? Working up a purple sweat.

That was still the early days of music videos, people didn't tend to build whole new sets and have storylines and spend a fortune just for a video back then. Filming a performance on the tour stage set was a logical choice. Obviously MJ's Thriller changed all that. And Prince wasn't yet a huge phenomenon with oodles of cash, all his previous videos were basically live/mimed performances, were they not? In fact, most of the Purple Rain videos were just cuts from the movie - of live performances, the exception being When Doves Cry. Really, Raspberry Beret is the first fully 'artistic' video, followed by 'Kiss'.

These videos were all shot during rehearsals for the 1999 tour. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."
