people what do you think of prince guitar solos on time recording 777-9311?
people rarely pay attention to his axe work there.
it's very underrated .

I thought Jesse Johnson played on that song as opposed to the rest of the album. Is this true?

Was it him? eek

I always thought it was Jesse.

I know Prince's guitar style, and that solo sounded very little like his.

The "who played guitar on 777-9311" debate could go on forever.

The fact that Prince programmed the funkiest drum machine based song in histoy is what's being overlooked here. Dayummmm.
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

So there isn't a definative answer? I thought it was documented somewhere that it was Jesse. Nonetheless, you're right about one thing, that funky base line!!
