He's Filipino, fuckers!!! jk...wasn't there an interview done this year where in an interview they showed him the clip at the beginning of "Barbershop 2" where Cedric the Entertainer makes a joke about him being part Cherokee?? Forgot who the interviewer was but he chuckled at that and looked as if he expected Prince to laugh, too. Well, he didn't laugh but replied something like: "There's been a debate in my family about our background..." However, he didn't elaborate, left the interviewer hangin'. Anyway, he's represented himself as Black several times during other interviews and awards shows. We can speculate all we want but it doesn't mean he is ONLY Black. I am mixed myself and will identify as being part of any one of three ethnic backgrounds at any given time. And there are many others who, despite being mixed will not admit to this for various reasons.
