I have a friend who is 2 sides of the same coin as me when it comes to music. He likes everything i like and i like everything he likes, its weird we really do have equally similar tastes. However for some fucked up reason he cannot appreciate prince and it really annoys me. He likes gett off and doves but anything else he cant dig. I have made countless compilations for him and nothin is doing the job, does anyone else have the same problem?

take him to the next prince concert near you...if that dont make him see what prince is all about, nothing will.

I have plenty of friends that love most of the same music I do but they don't like Prince. Why would you want to change him? If one of my friends ever made me a Whitney Houston compilation in hopes I would like her, I would shove it up their ass sideways.

Hell, if your friend doesn't like Prince, then he just doesn't like him. Big deal. Even though you both may like most of the same things, you are not both going to like everything that the other does.

Sooo i give him a cd to let him hear particular songs that i like, but because prince has such a huge archive of music, it is hard to select a series of songs that i think he might like. With a lot of people... It seems to be that it's not his music, per se, but Prince personally that they don't like, i.e. "He acts weird" He's gay" "funny clothes"... These people won't usually give the music a close study and let go of all the other b.s. I once played my avid Prince hater friend some songs from Xpectation and News since jazz is his main love, but I wouldn't tell him who it was until the end... He loved them all! When I told him it was P... He punched me in the arm and felt betrayed
