Prince has a damn good chance of winning atleast one and I do believe it will be for best male single! "Best R&B/soul single (male)" will mostly likely go to Prince The single was slammin and R&B radio wouldn't let this single go! It even made it to #1 position on some charts! Mario- Is doing well, but its too soon for him to win! "Best R&B/soul album (male)" will mostly likely go to either Prince or Usher. Even Happy People made more noise in the urban community than Musicology. I don't know if you're into R&B/urban generally as much as I am, but trust me, mayne. I wish Prince would win, but he won't. Detroit is the 10th largest radio market in the country and "call my name" was #1 on most urban stations here.
Not to mention the "musicology" album was detroit #1 album for a couple of weeks. The title track wasn't played much, but "call my name" did some harm here in the detroit area! Heavy rotation every hour on MIXX 92.3 and KISS 102.7...not to mention 107.5, fm 98 and 105-9 played the song during their love segments. prince you betta work! r.kelly happy people -made more noise at lounges and caberets, because ppl like to step and hustle on it (LOL) | |
