LADY CAB DRIVER - LIVE IN DETROIT - SOUNDS LIKE..... Just heard the amazing 'LADY CAB DRIVER' Live in Detroit on 1999 tour. AmAZing quality... it turns into a 8min jam with solos by Prince, Dez and Brownmark. They start up this kinda jam that goes "Lady.. Cab Driver... Hey, Hey Hey! I wanna be yo' lover babe, wanna make U shout, Coz that's what makin' love with Prince is all about"
Have you heard this amazing clip? Anyway.... The jam part sounds EXACTLY like 'Dance To The Music' by Bootsy Collins featuring ONE. I'm Telling U.... EXACTLY! “Tuna, you better do something or else we gonna have to put you back in the can!”

omg this is completely weird...I've had lady cab driver from the detroit 1982 show on constant rotation for the past week!!!
Jerky, the beginning of that jam after dez's solo is AMAZING! I'm guessing that's Prince guitar making those awesome sounds. Maybe that part sounds like Bootsy cuz Prince was paying tribute to him. The Org is the short yellow bus of the Prince Internet fan community.

Yeah, back then Prince had a time machine that took him more than 20 years in the future. There he heard the new Bootsy album, and then went back in time to pay him tribute live on stage. Sure, that makes perfect sense to me. [Edited 2/3/05 15:15pm]

Anyway, Jerky beat me to it, because I was just about to make a post about this track from the detroit show. It IS AMAZING!!! The Org is the short yellow bus of the Prince Internet fan community.

Bootsy song 'Dance To The Music' featuring the very Princey 'ONE' was released in 2004! Bootsy has Prince Bootlegs! Wouldn't Prince be happy? “Tuna, you better do something or else we gonna have to put you back in the can!”

City Lights isn't a DVD. It's a 12-CD collection of soundboard recordings from Prince's concerts dating from 1980,when Prince opened for Rick James, until the Parade tour in 1986.(and no, I can't tell u where to get it, cuz it's a bootleg). The Org is the short yellow bus of the Prince Internet fan community.
