cuz lawd knows i've been through hell defending myself and my man... I know what u mean..man, most of my freinds can't stand him eeva...and then, well their are sum who say they kinda do -but they no they not really into him or his music. every time i mention him 2 my mom/pts-they seem 2 be annoyed too... My friend at my skool says that " .... Prince kinda reminds me of the devil"  .. i be like oh girl shut up!!. I mean i let hear hear like a few P cds, and watch the dvd of PR ( the same w/some of my friends).. and ..come on now -she says his music sounds"...i dunno..techno-ish, too too..computerized or sum shit like that...blah blah.." ?  alota people @ my skool says he's gay, and sum other shit that's not true. sum jus don't get it | |

i be listenin' 2 Prince @ skool and on the bus sometimes, and people always gotta hate--i dunno why? except 4 like a few people. this one guy asked me what cd i had when i told him i was listening 2 Prince and he actually knew summada songs on it (the hits 2) and then said "oh you got the old hits-yeah..most of his old hits are the best ones tho!" and there are a few others... * but i hate it when my dad disses p whenever i go 2 FYE and buy a p cd..and he be like" Aggh she got that Prince again"...."lissen, u don't need 2 be lissenin' 2 no P-...don't u already have another p cd at home?" (i say yeah-only like 2-when i actually have like 5) and he's all reluctant to buy the cd 4 me..so i just don't go shopping w my pts anymore anyway (they get on my nerves) | |

then again..my dad doesn't know much I feel you on the dad thing. Back in the 80s when I was a teenager, if MY dad would walk through the living room while I was watching Prince on the TV he'd always say "He needs a haircut!"
My dad was (is) a country-western loving square who thought (thinks) that anybody who has longer hair than a crewcut, needs a haircut. | |
