"THE VAULT" BOOK..IS IT WORTH 30 POUNDS? anyone who has bought this book, could they tell me if it is worth the hefty price tag of £30 ($60) i have nearly ordered it a few times but it is a bit pricey for a book but i could be persuaded | |

Depends if you're gonna use it or not.
It's not really something to read from back to front, it's more of a reference material, but once you've got it, you look up pretty much anything on Prince's career. More than worth it IMO. | |

It's small with small text. If you have any of the other books or Uptown mags then don't bother. You may be disappointed when trying to read it.
If you don't have any of the above then you may really enjoy it. Kinda expesive for such a small book! "

The first part of it is the most readable - kind of a diary of the life and times of Prince, but it is really intended as more of a reference book. If you want to know where he was and when, setlists, information about every released song and plenty of unreleased ones, albums, films, books... it's invaluable. Every once in a while I fish my copy out to look something up. One thing is certain though: I won't be buying the annual updates - I'm not that much of a trainspotter | |
