as a kid I took the song literally and used to think
"I wanna go and lick the sugar walls too! yum! walls made out of sugar"

Later I learned about metaphors sad ...

Listen 2 the 12" version if U can find it, there's no mistaking that Prince-era sound. I love this track and also didn't realize as a child that it was something filthy. I had an inkling, tho. wink

Really? Even the original seems obvious, but if you listen to the extended dance cut, it has Prince's production and writing style all over it. From the term "Sugar Walls", to the slow buildup of instrumentation in the track, the Linn Drum, the synths, and the guitar playing. His vocals are in the background as well.
