REASON WHY PRINCE PLAYED JAILHOUSE ROCK IN CONCERT not becouse of elvis but micheal jackson,who claimed himself king of pop hence"you must be a prince before you become king" and it seems to be concurrent with prince's sense of humer to sing jail house rock about micheal jackson

Prince also performed "Teddy Bear" (made famous by Presley) in concert -- I believe he pulled people out of the audience to dance to it. Maybe he just likes some of the music Elvis did? | |

Um my father caught a Prince show at some Save the Farmers ( i know i got that wrong) benefit and Prince started playing an Elvis song and then he stopped it in the middle and said some reference to the King Prince thing. However on My Name is Prince, he is taking jabs at MJ. | |

We must remember that the song "To Whomever It May Concern" was written and released not very long after MJ sent out notices to MTV and their affiliates that he was to be reffered to as "The King of Pop" (something like) every third reference. The distinction between Elvis and MJ, of course, being that Elvis never told anyone to call him the king of anything.
Now we come to "To Whomever It May Concern," and Prince's now infamous line... "To whomever it may concern You must come to your senses There are no kings on this earth Only Princes." This was clearly a jab at MJ, from the thinly veiled "whomever" to the king/prince comparison. James | |

MJ is still mentally a child because I bet he never foresaw what a degrading title that would become. Most artists and note I said artists would never want to be called "pop" considering the bad reputation popular music has these days i.e. Brittney Spears.
