Paisley Park Studios New Website

Looks like Paisley Park Studios has a new website: http://www.paisleyparkstudios.net/

Paisley Park Studios was opened in 1987 by PRINCE, the legendary musician and entertainer. Paisley Park fame has grown around the world throughout the 80’s and 90’s and continues today.

Since its inception, many of the world’s top artists have used Paisley Park Studios to create chart-topping music, full-length feature films, commercials and music videos.

Is there any info on how well it does as far as bookings and use? Do local groups from the Minneapolis area use it? With all of the new equipment they put into it, it's be a shame if no one goes there.

Man, everytime I see Paisley Park, I immediately think of the Lovesexy album, for some reason. It might be the positive vibe that the building gives off. I must visit the facilities one day...

One day...

This was a cool find for me because I'm currently working on my own studio website and I needed some inspiration.

I've googled a ton of studio websites that look like total crap. This is clean and to the point. AND THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED TO SEE. More business oriented.

PS, Mine will be better! (website, not studio)
LOOK OUT!

I've just formed a co-op with my local chamber of commerce and they are hooking me up with all kinds of buisness so I need to work fast!

"features the world's only floating console"

Is that a joke or is there really such a thing? The console seem held from the back but does appear to be floating.

i was wondering about that too -- i'm sure many other studios must have something like that -- it looks to be very convenient

I saw that too.

I think they should put a disclaimer like: (as far as we know)

I have a similar "arm" that I rigged that holds the master keyboard in the studio. I, personally, have never seen a mixing console held that way.

"hits"? -- good question (and i don't mean the group). i entered "recorded at paisley park" into a search engine and found a whole bunch of people who recorded there.

BTW Yamomma, can you arrange for someone to get the General Prince FAQ amended - I referred to the new PP site about a month ago and mentioned that the prince.org FAQ is now out of date re the official studio website address, but I didn't suggest it should be amended at the time.

You must not have ever seen this little movie, Prince did awhile back. It was called Graffiti Bridge.

He's using a MAC mac at the end, during the credits.

Actually, revisiting this site... this is nothing new. This has been their site for awhile now.

Macs have always been known as being the best computer for any kind of music production or composition. And by the way, don't you need a Mac to use Pro Tools?

Well just moved to MO. I think it's time for the org to plan a road trip! (Hmmm... you think Prince would take us on a tour.)

Yes, I recall the Apple in that movie. What I was pointing out, was on the spec lists there were several G5 MACs with the new displays. So I was impressed that they are keeping up to date. Those newer MACs didn't come out too long ago.

Hopefully, I'll get my new G5 by the end of the month. And if I play it right, I might get the new 30 inch display! You need all the space you can get when working in programs like Final Cut Pro. Might take my current G4 home and give my powerbook (maybe) to my wife. The old G3 can be given to charity, I suppose. What will also be cool is that I'll be getting 2 of those iSight cameras. I saw them in the apple store and they work GREAT! So it will nice to peek in on my family during those long work days. My 2 year old son should LOVE that.

This was the first time I've seen this site. There used to be a splash page a long time ago back in the Love4oneanother days. Just had an address and a phone number if I recall.
