There's an official Euro release of Lovesexy, but it's on their format.
Parade, even in the river ... hasn't been great quality.

You would figure WB or Prince would make easy money releasing these things. There are atleast a million people that would scoop these up. Maybe the release of Sign o the Times DVD will inspire them to smarten up.

Man, don;t get me started. I even started an online petition over at NPGMC when it first launched about releasing this mutha. SO many peeps signed it. Response? nada. Basically, don't be holdin' your breath.

Lovesexy came out in Europe as two VHS tapes (probably because it meant that people had to pay twice to get the single concert, thereby bringing in more cash) but Parade has never been released. It was broadcast on TV once as an hour-long birthday concert from the Cobo Arena in Detroit. Great show, and crying out to be released full-length on DVD. It will probably never happen though.

Sorry to be a fuddy duddy 'bout details, but it was twice actually. (Thank God!) I've still got my original recording from 1986 - and it still looks as crisp and clear as the day it was recorded. And... (no word of a lie here) it's actually better quality than all the bootleggage that's goin around of the show. Thing is...it's at my ex's and that sux.
