Prince's cousin Charles Smith said that after Prince's parents divorce Prince moved in with his dad, John L Nelson, and when Prince was 13 his dad threw Prince out of the house when he caught Prince in bed with a girl.

Here’s the deal.

When Prince was 11 years old, his mom remarried. Not knowing quite how to handle instructing her son on the birds and the bees, she started leaving porn and exotic literature around the house for him to find. (This is not a rumor, Prince says this in his interview with Chris Rock some years ago. It was the first I’d heard it. He said it was pretty heavy at the time.)

Anyway, his stepfather was mad strict. You can imagine with Prince’s libido being activated so young, that he was very interested in getting down. Ultimately, yes, he was caught with a young lady in bed in the house.

That, along with a lot of other arguments in the house, led to him being kicked out…. AT THE AGE of 12!!!! Talk about child abuse. He has never gotten over that, as you can imagine.

Anyway, he moved around from the homes of friends and family, finally settling with his dad. However, the sexual appetite was still there, so got repeatedly busted with female company. His dad wasn’t having any of that either, so he put him out too.

Then, as most know, he spent his high school years living at his friend Andre Cymone’s house. Apparently, there was a lot of sexual activity there, especially since there were several male teenagers staying at the house. Plus, Prince was living in the basement and what-not (his choice). There is debate about how much freakiness actually transpired. Given Prince’s “activity” when he was 12, it’s hard to imagine he slowed down when it was easier to engage in.

So there it is. He first got busted in bed with a girl at 12 years old, based on precocious appetite for sex that his own mother created. Oye vay!!!

Just to clarify....

I didn't say that he didn't lost his virginity in a car. I'd never heard him say that he had, but whatever. Writing a song about it doesn't mean it happened.

Anyway, he was definitely busted with girls in his parents' houses. He clearly wasn't too shy with the girls then. In fact, it is fairly obvious that he has a great rapport with women even outside of the sexual context, apparently for a long time.

Also, I didn't mean to imply that Prince and Andre were sleeping with each other. (I just re-read my post and see how you could draw that conclusion). I meant that you can expect a house full of dudes to be a revolving door for the girls. Especially when none of them have been hit with the ugly stick.

Listen to "Schoolyard" - that is supposedly about his first time. I think Prince commented to Neil K. about the song (or they listened to it) in the '85 Rolling Stone interview.
