The telephone rings..Bob George Picks up... And you lose your shit...
Listening to this song...and as quite a few do me...I'm getting into it. Right after the cops say "watch out the niggers got a laser"...the phone rings. Hello... and it a whole new ball game from that point on. it's fu**** up in a whole new way. do you feel this way about the song from that point? to me this is one of those songs that goes beyond beyond...you know. If you take a step back from it it's a very strange piece indeed. I can only imagine the look on his friends faces the first time they heard that...esp sheila. I mean what would you think? It's a great song, and one only Prince could do. Awesome, awesome beat, completely original, entertaining and yet, meaningful. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

Bob George is a masterpiece and the best of three excellent songs to come from the Black Album.
Question: Bob George and the rest of the album was originally created for Sheila E's b-day, right? Don't hurt me, I'm a newb. I'm supposed to be stupid. | |
