my sweetie and i were watching prince videos last night and he asked me what purpose tommy barbarella served in the NPG, and i told him "he plays hairflips." i mean, really...do you remember his keyboard riffs or do you remember the cascading hairflips? i know which *I* remember. Does anyone remember him (TommyB) suspended from cables above the stage during the AMA's around 1995 (I think it was the AMAs) playing keyboard while swinging his legs to the beat? How crazy that must have been. He's really a great keyboardist, and Prince must have thought so too to keep him around for 5 years (longer than Larry Graham, I believe). I saw Tommy Barbaraella play back in November here in Minneapolis with Greazy Meal (without the long hair with which to flip ), and I can personally say that he is an amazing player...my girlfriend thinks he's gorgeous, and I'll agree...why not? If anyone wants to hear what he sounds like with Greazy Meal...check out http://www.greazymeal.com/ The new album "Universes Baby" is a must hear for every Prince fan. "All Hail King Bart!"

I checked out the Greazy Meal site. I really really like their sound. Funky, jazzy and kind of "house-y". I'm thinking about buying their latest cd. Oh yeah, and Tommy looks beautiful with shorter hair. Miguel MyeternalgrattitudetoPhil&Val.Herman said "We want sweaty truckers at the truck stop! Prince - guitar, piano, vocals Gayle Chapman - keyboards, vocals Bonny Boyer - keyboards, vocals Kirky J - drums, samples, loops Andre Cymone - bass Wally - background vocals and assorted hijinks Yeah, Prince on guitar, piano and vocals - what a bad move. Man, that guy sucks... HARD. even harder than tony m. as for the addition of boni boyer on your list: ...and it's a roundhouse one, too.
