Chaos and Disorder......Yay or Nay.

i put this on today for the first time for maybe about a year
and now i can tell u it'll probably stay in my playa for a good while.
This is a kick ass album.
The guitar work on here is superb and during the whole symbol thing
i think it is the one album that deserved praise.
I have seen some shitty reveiws for it but IMO i think it is a classic album
that kicks NPS ass on all levels.
so i give it thumbs up and a big YAY. smile
Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!
woot!

I like C&D also. "Had U", though it's short, it's sweet.

Yay. thumbs up!

I think ppl listen to this album with the wrong mindset. It doesn't try to be a classic epic like Purple Rain or 1999, so you have to leave behind that expectation before you hear it.

You can't listen to it thinking "Prince is a genius, he's capable of more than this" or you won't like it.

It's a good raw rock album with an interesting "fuck you" vibe to it.

I mean, who doesn't find I Will beautiful or Had U chilling?

With xception of "Right The Wrong", I pretty much love this album. "Into The Light" is 1 of the most beautiful melodies he's ever composed IMO.

The only things on this album that really piss me off are that fucking ANNOYING guy rapping on I Rock... and the totally repetitive song Dig U Better Dead.

Chaos and Disorder. What a great cd. I remember when the "Dinner With Delores" video came out. Seems like just yesterday. Definitly gets 2 thumbs up from me. Gotta love Rosie on "I Rock Therefore I Am". That was my theme song for the summer of '96. My alltime fav on that cd is "I Like It There". It is a tour de force of uncaged sex and fun. I think its one of Prince's best rock songs ever!
That would be one that I air guitared to when I was 16. lol

I just played C & D in the ride for a week straight...woot!

The title track was the only one that caught my ear the first time 'round,
but giving it another chance this past week really opened my eyes.
This CD is slammin'!

The title track, Same December, I Rock..., Into The Light, I Will,
I Like It There...all GREAT songs.

BTW, I noticed how Into the Light and I Will flow into each other.
They overlap sequentially, much like The Marrying Kind and If I Was The Man in Your Life do. To me, that says that Prince intends these to
be continuous jams.

Into the Light/I Will has an intense spirituality about them. nod

Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

I don't think C&D holds up as a stand alone cd - theres no great cuts on it - its a good little bundle of songs but no knock-out cut. But if I look at it as the 4th cd with Crystal Ball it sounds great. I program it in with songs like Poom Poom & Whats My Name & Calhoun Square & I really dig the C&D songs.

Yay. The first time I got this album, I listened to it in its entirety 6 straight times. The guitar jams are the absolute best in this. The lyrics to the title track are so true. Dinner W/Delores is also stands out.

Damn, I played this recently and it was even better than usual. Great album. Had U is one of the best closers ever.
