hey, don't believe this was mentioned when they were updated, just thought I'd check on the BPI (british RIAA equiv.) to see if musicology ever got a certification, because after first week sales it dipped fast and i didn't think it reached 60k sales for silver.

anyway MUCH to my surprise it turns out a few prince albums had been updated around that time too. here they are

how bizarre his second album is now certified for 60k copies shipped, though simply because of its age i imagine it has sold that amount too.

very best of goes from gold to platinum, probably aided by massively increased sales on amazon when it was in a sale (it was like 5th best selling album on the site)

D&P is now Princes biggest selling album in the UK, overtaking Purple Rain which is only double platinum.
in fact, i imagine it's topped a million in sales, princes only million seller in the UK!
so his "sales" have increased by 660k! haha

i wonder if all his albums are up to date now, it's abit off D&P and Prince would get updated, so i imagine WB checked through all the sales to see if anything else needed updating, after all, it's hardly gonna promote him more by updating the "Prince" record over say purple rain or SOTT.

y'know, that said, i can't imagine purple rain hasn't sold 300k since 1990, which is when it was last updated. here's a list of all prince's certifications!
