He's played loads of covers live, but if you're looking for studio covers, he didn't start doing that until around 1996. Here are a few:
Betcha By Golly Wow (The Stylistics) on Emancipation One of Us (Joan Osborne) on Emancipation La La La Means I Love U (Delfonics) on Emancipation Every Day is a Winding Road (Sheryl Crow) on Rave In2 (and Un2) the Joy Fantastic Purple House (Jimi Hendrix's Red House) on Power of Soul: A Tribute to Jimi Hendrix Check out The Mountains and the Sea, a Prince podcast by yours truly and my wife. You'll get four of them there, including the one you mentioned in your first post. Check out The Mountains and the Sea, a Prince podcast by yours truly and my wife. the song BobGeorge is a cover...
...see, eons ago after God made the earth, on the eigth day, God wrote a song to test out this new thing called sound. It ended up being so RAW and FUNKY and NASTY, he had to hide it, for he had already made the apple. The apple was going to tempt man enough to turn to evil. He didn't need this "sound" hanging around. He let the birds whistle instead. This is all in the book that includes the black apostle, Rufus, which isn't included in the bible. Somehow(this is a thread of it's own) Prince got a hold of this "sound" and...well...U know... [Edited 1/24/05 18:44pm] [Edited 1/24/05 18:48pm]

When i saw him on the Nude tour he did a cover of a Janet Jackson song. Rhythm Nation i think it was.
I really like his version of Miss You by Rolling Stones. And the version of A Case Of You on 1st Av '83 is amazing. I found him doing a version of Parliament's Flashlight which is pretty good. "Prince don't hear Ravel when he wanna make love to his woman. He hears drums and shit." Miles Davis
