Sign of the times question Was the movie film SOTT filmed live? I.E., was the music played live, or is the movie on big video of lip synching | |

It was filmed live, but it was at very short notice and a lot of the footage wasn't good enough to use (lighting and such I think), so a lot of what you see in the movie was filmed at Paisley Park. BTW, for anyone looking at the Canadian release, my copy arrived yesterday and it BRISTLES! The colours are vibrant and crisp, it really is fantastic.  | |

Furthermore, a majority of the music you hear on there is live, but there are also quite a few over-dubs - so you may notice that some of the playing seems out of sync with what you hear. ...we have only scratched the surface of what the mind can do...

Most of it was filmed at Paisley Park, but there are also shots from Ahoy Rotterdam in it, I guess he mixed the whole sound in the end..... the beautiful ones, you always seem to loose | |
