But, he contridicts himself though, because performing with someone as tired as Beyonce proves that he cares about what someone likes and that would be trying to gain acceptance from the younger crowd, which would be selling out because most of them were not into him to begin with. Like I said before, if they like him because they like what he's doing on his own, without selling out, that's fine. But if they don't like it, then who needs them? They already control the whole music scene these days and we don't need to see a rare exception like Prince, watered down with their junk.

That performance was a total joke.

Prince didn't contradict himself. Prince has always liked attractive women with questionable talent. He was talking about Beyonce when DC first broke. She's just the latest in a long ass line.

So did I Rhondab. I'm not a big fan of Beyonce, but I thought she kicked ass with Prince last year. I thought they were perfect together for that particular time. She held her own with him too and I bet that's not easy to do.

CBS just played a Grammys commercial that said "and a surprise" and they showed Prince performing "Lets Go Crazy". The Grammys will be on CBS February 13th Sunday.

There was nothing wrong with that performance he did with Beyonce. I'm not her biggest fan, but I think she has talent. She was a good candidate for a pairing with him. P was trying to set things in motion for the coming year. It was not a low point for him to work with her and it was a smart move. It wasn't the best performance, but I'm sure she wasn't used to working w/someone of his calibre. How many people are? She said herself that he rehearsed her pretty hard for that show.

He also admires her work ethic because she knows how to sing & dance as opposed to putting on these huge elaborate choreographed dance numbers while lip synching.

Shit, for "Speechless" alone, I think she deserves to be given a little bit of praise at the minimum.

I really hope that if he does perform that he will do a song other then on the Purple Rain soundtrack. Im tired of people saying that Purple Rain was his only hit. People who aren't Prince fans need to know how talented this man is and that Purple Rain or Lets Go Crazy is not his only master piece.

I really hope he wins over USHER because he is a great entertainer but his music does not compare to PRINCE. and USHER wins everything, PRINCE deserves it more than him I think
