Ok, it's a bit of a well-worn topic, but for the end of '04...

I was thinkin about P's relatively recent declaration that he'd rather not give folks what they want, when he can give them what they need, and I think that Musicology was a bit of a compromise. I mean, in terms of musicianship and quality songwriting it's a "what u need" album, but then, in terms of predictability and trying to please radio-friendly material it also verges on a "what u want" record.

So what's your vote?

1. Musicology= "what u need"

or

2. Musicology= "what u want"

my vote is 1...it was what i needed for sure.

Ask an irrelevant ?, wasitgood4u, get an irrelevant answer.
Musicology gave HIM the keys 2 what HE wanted.
