Ok you peoples.... We're not gonna tear this thread up like the "NAACP" thread are we? I think that it is cool that his hard work is paying off and he is being recognized for it by people other than us.I think these award shows are a great way to get the mainstream audience to see Prince for the real musical genius that he is.A lot of the younger generation don't know much about music,I mean,You see what they think is "HOT".(i.e. "why knuck if you buck...") C'mon now? Don't get it wrong,I give Lil Jon his props for making songs,(beats rather), that make you jump around like an idiot but it's not real music.So let's give Prince the props that he truly deserves for the beautiful,strange,funky,jazzy,mellow,soulful,joyous,ROCKIN' music that we all have grown to love him for.Let the world see what it is that we are fans for.Remember it's not about the money or fame,it's about the music.

Congratulations Prince ... AGAIN!

I am very happy for Prince..obviously he wants to go in a more commerical direction with Musicology and he should be very proud of this...but..to me the Grammies mean nothing. I just don't see how you can award a song or album or whatever. Music affects so many diffrent people in so many diffrent ways I just don't see how a commitie can say this is better than that becuase what a song means to one person can do nothing for the other. It just doesn't make alot of sense to me.
