For the record, I'm not gay nor have I ever said Prince was gay, but I'm honest enough to call it as I see it, and Prince has used gay imagery (the "Gett Off" scream being the most evident), especially around the Diamonds & Pearls era with his male dancers.

Wow thats funny i am gay and i never saw that video or any of it gay. I mean does that mean everytime entertainers that are men have some kind of physical contact that they are gay? I don't think so dude.

It's cool and ok if it you look at whatever and thats how you see it, but i don't think Prince or many other people would think like that. I guess its all about your own experiences and fantasies and associations. We are all different and I think thats one thing that is so great about Prince's music and artistic expression is there is something in it for many different types of people and i swear, I have been listening to Prince for over 20 years and I still get new things or hear new things even now.

One final thought, are you in the position to really say what you think is gay? Have you been to gay clubs or gay saunas or clubs or hotels or anything like that? It's pretty interesting, I love it, people let their guards down, relax and express their true selves. Anything can happen. I have seen it all and the only thing I have seen in a Prince video that happens in gay clubs is the scene at the end of the Automatic video... No Game Boyz dancing around with linked legs, lol, i promise you thats a Prince thing!!!

What happened at the end of the "Automatic" video? I've only seen the short version they used to play on BET.

They act out tieing someone onto a bed like bondage...in Automatic Prince's girls tie him up on a bed (come to think of it, he did that also in the Superfunkycalifragasexy live in 88) and he is wearing a policemens cap. All completely hetro too, but gay guys love toys and tieing up and caps and accessories!

It is nothing now but in 83 it was pretty racey! Thats our Prince!

ok well maybe its just me, but i never saw it as gay, it never crossed my mind, the lines are blurred between girls and boys so often with Prince i think many things are open to individual interpretation. I certainly think some people might think there is something wrong with something being gay, when it aint. I was just stating my opinion and i don't like blanket statements that are not true!
