Sumthing a little ATWIAD

Ok so musicology wasn't so purple rainy! BUT, 2004 was a massive year 4 prince, he's biggest in many a year!

But Cum on guys wouldn't U love 2 hear something that we never expected, like he did with ATWIAD, Something a little bit off the scale, and an amazing album, or would it something gospel or POP, not that i hate gospel, damn TRC is my fav, but U know what i mean wink

I Love this time of year, when ur waiting 4 the next album! biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

if i had a "what's next" wish list, it would be for a musicology DVD. other than that, he could put out a klezmer polka album of diane warren songs and i wouldn't give a crap.

there's been some buzz about the DVD...nothing definite, but enough to make me think it'll materialize in the next few months...

well...it took a while for the aladdin DVD to come out after the ONA tour ended. not TOO long, but it wasn't like he tossed out a polaroid for us all, either (but close!) lol

He has to play guitar solo's and rock like he does when he's playing live !
Hardly ever has he commited his great guitar playing skills to a record !
Then he'll be big like he was before , i'm sure

not only the guitar playing..he needs to capture the energy all around...thats why TRC lost me on wax...Those songs were awesome live...on cd they just lay there flat..

The same could be said for all albums when compared to live performances.

agreed....however, in the past prince was able to create a certain mood or scope with his songs that isnt present on his newer work....but he will take that same song (tweak the arrangment..change the tempo a lil) and the song gains new appreciation (with me that is)..perfect example of this is The Everlasting Now...

i will say Musicology (the song) is Grade A Prince on record and live....
