Prince most P-funk-inspired moments

Hi, what do you think are the songs where Prince sounds the most inspired by P-funk (Parliament etc.)?

My suggestions:

Scarlett Pussy (clearly, a Atomic Dog song)
The Exodus has begun
Come
Some Camille stuff

In a review for ONA I wrote that Eddie Hazel (rip) had Maggot Brain, now Prince has Joy in Repetition.

George Clinton had all these side projects (Parliament, Funkadelic, Bootsy, Brides, Parlet etc.) and this was Prince's inspiration to build a musical empire (The Time, Vanity, Sheila E etc). That was the real inspiration from P-Funk.

Has anyone mentioned Erotic City yet? The word I heard was that he was inspired to write it after a George Clinton show.

I heard this too. Definitely the use of the word funk is P-Funk inspired. The music is so Prince, though.

The P-Funk all stars did a cover of this song in the movie PCU which made me foget that it was a prince song.

Thumparello

The Musicology Tour...he uses alot of P-Funk horn riffs which are supplied by Maceo and Greg Boyer from their All Star days.

1999 lp and tour Prince, The Time & Vanity 6 =Parliament/Funkadelic, Bootsy's Rubber Band and The Brides Of Funkenstein

Alphabet Street sounds similar to Funkadelic's Let's Take It To the Stage

Everybody has borrowed from The Funks---Temptations, Motown, Rick, Prince, Gap, Rap etc. There's documentary airing soon.

Erotic City

Somewhere I read that he went to a P-Funk concert and got inspired and that night, started recording Erotic City. So I guess U could say it was directly inspired. Makes U wonder how P's brain works, cuz that cut doesn't sound too P-Funkish. Somebody help me on this cuz I might be mistaken.

"Scarlet Pussy" would have to be, hands down, the most P-Funk inspired song.

The 1997 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductions ceremony took place in Cleveland on May 6th. The Artist was there to induct George Clinton's Parliament and Funkadelic bands. The Artist came on stage with Mayte and pronounced a short speech including the following lines, "There was something futuristic about Parliament-Funkadelic. Yet it was earthy and funky and timely. I remember seeing him at the Beverly Theater and it was frightening. That night I went to the studio and recorded 'Erotic City.' Needless to say, he's been an influence on me and everyone I know. That's all we talk about, that's all we groove to. With great pleasure, George, I say I love you and I need you, and I'm happy to induct you into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame."

Anyone know where you can find a video clip of this speech, or for that matter any of the other induction speeches of the past (who inducted sly and the family stone for example?)
