...Ditto...It is amazing how ignorant some of the orgers are...Why is it that whenever the name Prince comes up, someone has to shit on Usher...Hey, I'm a 33 years-old who has problems with some of the music that is out today...but I'm careful not to lump all the younger artists in the same category...Some of you guys sound like some old ass 'Those were the days" bitches (no offense). I'm not a big fan of the Confessions album (actually his last album that was produced by the Neptunes is much better), but I can see that the guy has some talent and he's been out since 96-97...You guys don't have to shit on younger artists to boost Prince's status...Prince is an immortal...He doesn't need your help...But let's stop being so cultish...There's other wonders out there besides our boy.....

Seems that rock royalty PRINCE has a new funky psuedonym for a real "throw down party" . The mastermind behind last year's best-selling tour is setting the pace for 2005 with a Golden Globes afterparty that sported an eclectic guest list that would make P Diddy take notes. An invitation-only soire that invited you to "3121 - instant access 2 the xperience" boasted beautiful Salma Hayek, Cate Blanchette, Penelope Cruz and Matthew McConaughey (who later sat in with the band for several sets on congas - and was pretty darn good to boot!). Samuel Jackson and his lovely wife; Lawrence Fishburne, Gina Torres, Kasi Lemmons and Vondie Curtis Hall along with the quintessential "party man" P Diddy and AJ Calloway broke it down to James Brown. Mos Def, Mekhi Pfieffer, Gabrielle Union, and Usher were spotted playing pool, snacking on delectable bites and sipping on cocktails while enjoying DJ Rashida's groove mix. Adam Levine of Maroon 5 and Justin Timberlake took turns to sit with the band lending their vocal stylings to "real music" grooves that took the party to another stratosphere. Secretly I was waiting for soulful Nikka Costa to take the mic and really bring the house down! Herbie Hancock sat in on keys and James Valentine of M5 on guitar while Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey MacGuire, Drea DeMateo, Will-I-Am of the BEPs, Natalie Portman, Renee Zellweger, Elisha Cuthsbert and Trace Ayala enjoyed the cool relaxed morrocan-themed vibe, salivating in anticipation to see whether or not Prince would also join in. Sadly, he did not, but word is, you never know. Legendary songstress Joni Mitchell who purportedly would only stay a few minutes was the last to leave at 6 am. Sigh. 3121 is the place to be apparently! (source: non-NPGMC) By the way, what is 3121? THIS is a party I'd LOVE 2 have attended. I wonder what thee Prince is up 2 nowadays with all this star mingling??? Matthew M I like, Samuel J, and Justin T, & Herbie H....Must have been the party P sings about on musicology. He's plannng something... NOW WHAT DID HE PLAY? SETLIST ANYONE? May the BELLS ring 4 U even when ur not in love.

Apparently Club 3121 is so named because it is the numerical part of Prince's street address. The party was at his house. I guess this is the party for which he purchased that custom rug with his house address numbers on it (as another Orger reported a while ago).
Sorry guys, no numerical Princely mystery here. S Filthy cute and baby U know it

Usher is a dancer that can sing a little bit(barely).ever wonder why Prince is called "The Artist"? Prince can write, compose, produce, dance, play at least 10 or 20 music instruments and masters 3 (to me) guitar, piano, voice. his vocal range in unsurpassed with a variety of different octaves.he rips the guitar up. um, Usher tricks around on stage pulling old Michael Jackson moves and stuff.sorry but kids like Usher cause they dont know no betta.

You mean compared to Prince? Who makes weird gospel albums and lame old James Brown music? Logically they like Usher better. He is younger, sexier and wears clothes that are actually IN style. Common. Prince is old skool. Not many kids dare to be old skool.

I am so tired of Usher's name ending up in so many Prince threads. You (general terms) have to enjoy Usher for what he does and not try to compare the brotha to Prince. Damn, everyone knows that Prince is a multi-talented musician and Usher isn't. That does not take away that he has star quality and is a much better actor than Prince IMO. Need we (general terms) continue to dwell on it? And I keep wondering if anyone said that Prince would not amount too much when he was in his early 20s? No offense HisRoyalBadness, I will now step down from my soapbox. *Back to the thread* The party sounds cool. I mean I would've just been content being in the man's presence.

Must be some beats that they like (LOL). I am not going to go into the unsexiness of Usher. The kid's face can be used to stamp out ugly cookies. Your comments are exactly why orgers make fun of young people. Your uninformed, have bad taste in music, and you think Usher is sexy (LOL). Go take a look at some old Mike Jackson videos. At this point Usher owes his whole carreer to Mike.
