What's with Prince doing all these presenting jobs? What's his agenda?

just make a new album for crying out loud! why are you complaining? i'd rather see him presenting awards at these shows than to not see any of him at all or just in the audience. besides he just getting more exposure, perhaps for his next surprise for us this year. We don't really know what P is gonna pull out of his hat for this year so sit still, be patient, and enjoy the ride... I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince. | |

why does mani have to be mentioned everytime Prince decides to do something, as if she put him up to it? i'm really getting sick of this. Maybe Prince wanted to do all these awards things because "he" wanted to do them? How come it can't just be his decision? mani is just his gotdamn wife thats it, she's not his fuckin manager, tour agent, or his public relations representative. Who knows, he is probably the one who tells her what to do all the time, but we'll never know cuz we don't live in the big white mansion in Canada.... I can only think Prince is trying to weedle/charm his way into someone's good books - whether the general media, a particular tv channel, a potential collaboration with someone, I don't know. I'm sure deals are being done in the backrooms... | |

Well maybe as he is getting older, he is starting to care about what the public thinks about him as well as his fellow celebs. Plus he did have the biggest selling tour of the year so it gives him a reason to celebrate plus keeping him in the limelight may help a future album. I agree with Metalorange...Prince doesn't do these type of appreances for nothing (or just because it may be fun), he has to have something in the works with Hollywood. Besides, he's living in L.A. again, so something is up. When have you ever heard of Prince sitting through an entire 3 hour award show (and that is only the televised portion) where he WASN'T getting an award. He's working on something...Just wait and you'll see.

He deserves some of this action.. He has been in the business for 20 some odd years..

This all kinda reminds me of the time Prince was at the '88 Grammy's looking all Lovesexy-like -- little did we know what he had planned just around the corner.

But, u gotta LOVE the amount of respect he's getting when he does present awards...did you see how long the applause lasted at the Golden Globes? Amazing. I'm so happy for the guy right now - he's distributing the music how he wants to, he just came off of an extremely successful tour, and EVERYONE seems to just LOVE him wherever he goes....This has truly been a great year for the man and it's so nice!  | |
