It just occured to me that this thread starter is the same guy who was making threads before Musicology came out, saying that he's confirmed through his sources that Prince has resigned with WB.

actually,i knew this person does this kind of thing often,ya know,fake tracklist's and album titles etc...
i was just gonna sit back and see how far they would take this one...

The rumours are true, there's definitely gonna be a new Prince album this year. I know it's hard to believe, considering that he normally takes a good three or four years to release a new album , but there's definitely going to be one in 2005 (yep, this is an exclusive).

Apparently, the word is that it'll be released on NPGMC first as a download, and then either released independently on CD, or released through a major distributor. It's going to be released before December 2005 and it WILL contain music and/or vocals.

There'll be a major promotional drive behind it, either from the record company, Prince himself, the fans on Prince.Org and other websites, or you yourself as you play it to your friends in the hope that it'll change their music listening habits.

It's going to contain more than one song and the album will be longer than 4mins 22 secs.

The fake tracklists may also contain any number of shite titles like the ones I just made up off the top of my head that I thought may sound ever-so-slightly like Prince song titles.

Also, it's likely that the new album will receive a mixed reaction from the fans.

As far as I know, Prince almost always puts out an album year after year. So it is not soooo far fetched that we will see something new from the man in 2005...

My wish is that he leaves the "organic, we are a real band" sound with all the horns for something more electronic... or more guitar-oriented... or something else. Maybe: A folk or deep soul album... I am getting a bit tired of the James Brown-style "Musicology" "and the silk soul of "Call My Name" - he's done that to perfection many times now
