Uhm, don't see why its one of his worst ever. I like it - its lyrically funny and it grooves. By Prince's own admission in the liner notes, its not a serious piece, in fact its "just to make a female laugh", I believe is what he said. So, its a throw-away jam and shouldn't be treated as anything else.

Not everything he produces should be groundbreaking or pushing the envelope - hell, some things should even just be for FUN - remember that?!!!

Its just that if something is said "tongue in cheek" and coupled with hyperbole, then that's a joke, right? I just didn't see your "joke" in that comment. The hyperbole in your statement is obvious "...should be shot in the head..." - the tongue in cheek aspect is not. So, what is your point - you were joking about the song being one of his worst?

I don't really care for that song. The best song on Crytal Ball IMO is Crucial. A quintessential Prince love song.

I love this song - the best spot i heard it was in the small room at Paisley Park at one of the parties - it was played often in 98/99, and was very fun to dance to.
