THE SIMILARITY BETWEEN PRINCE AND CHARLIE CHAPLIN The similarities between the most talented musician and the most talented actor (my 2 favs) is quite striking:
Prince is male.....Charlie is male (easy one!) Prince is an talented musician.....Charlie is an talented musician. Prince is a somewhat talented actor.....Charlie is an talented actor. Prince has $$$.....Charlie had $$$. Prince’s 2 parents were n the business...Charlie’s 2 parents were n the business. Prince is straight (w/ feminine attributes)...Charlie is straight (w/ feminine attributes). Prince is short.....Charlie is short. Prince has dark hair & eyes.....Charlie has dark hair & eyes. Prince started is career at a young age...Charlie started his career at a young age. Prince created his P.P. studio.....Charlie created his C.C. studio. Prince had many women.....Charlie had many women. Prince likes ‘em young.....Charlie likes ‘em young. Prince is divorced from his 1st wife....Charlie is divorced from his 1st wife. Prince has high-heel boots.....Charlie has over-sized boots. Prince sometimes has a pimp cane.....Charlie has a bamboo cane. Prince sometimes has a moustache.....Charlie has a (fake) moustache. Prince sometimes has a hat.....Charlie has a hat. Prince has enough lawsuits.....Charlie had enough lawsuits. (But everyone famous has enough lawsuits, right Michael?) Prince’s 1st child from his 1st wife died...Charlie’s 1st child from his 1st wife died. Prince married 4 a 2nd time.....Charlie married 4 a 2nd time. The video for "The One" (1998) was part of 0(+>‘s continued homage to early black and white silent movies ( see Under The Cherry Moon) and more specifically Charlie Chaplin.0(+> plays a tramp in the video,and Chaplin’s first movie in 1915 was called The Tramp.Chaplin’s second movie in 1921,(this date also appears in the very first frame of The One ,bottom centre screen) was called The Kid,which also happens to be Prince’s character’s name in his debut movie Purple Rain. Oona Chaplin, Charlie's fourth wife, dated Bowie in the 1980s after Chaplin's passing...and Charlie's granddaughter Kiera Chaplin worked with Bowie recently i think...

yup, definitely....ever heard "Smile"? Nat King Cole, Robert Downey Jr., Barbara Streisand, Tony Bennett, plus many more (MJ?) have recorded this song of Charlie's...probably his most well known...i think Ruben Studdard performed it on one of the AI shows, too...

yes...he played the violin and cello...left-handed ...he had them restrung so he could play them left handed...i think he was better at the violin than the cello...he even had a music business for about a year...i think in 1916...in his London days before Hollywood he practiced playing his violin up to 6 hours a day...
he sang some, too...
