Has anyone seen the Purple Reign band at Boardwalk Casino in Las Vegas?

I just got back from Vegas and went to see a free show at the Boardwalk Casino. It was titled "Purple Reign, a tribute to Prince". They looked and sounded great, and had almost identical music and wardrobe from P's older stuff, mostly Purple Rain era. The lead was a guy named Justin and was a dead ringer for Prince (from 50 feet away anyway). They even had a Morris Day look alike and a too tall Jerome.

I talked to the drummer and he said Prince had sent his people a couple of times to check it out but didn't think Prince himself had been there, although Justin, the lead, had met with Prince twice.

Has anyone seen this band/act and what do you think?

I saw them december 2003. They were a lot of fun to watch. The lead guy had some of p's old moves with the mic down pretty good. But $10 for a polaroid?

If they've really got talent, they shouldn't waste it away being wannabes. Be your own person.

I know, but I'm just sayin'; if the guy's got musical talent, why just be a Vegas lounge act when he could develop into an artist of his own merits?
