What would you say are Prince's most famous/legendary aftershows/club shows? I would say of course the "small club" show from 1988
also the DNA Lounge tour from april 93 after the Act I show care to add any others? The Org is the short yellow bus of the Prince Internet fan community.

I personally think the Het Paard show is slightly over-rated. There's no doubting it's a great gig (and obviously the quality is astounding), however I rate both the Camden Palace & Gross Freiheit 88 aftershows above it - with the exception of Taylor Dayne's screeching.
I'd also add these New York 10th April 2002 Emporium 22 & 23rd March 1995 New York 3rd October 1988 Vienna 28th May 1987 Paris 24th August 1986 And if we're talking club gigs the first Fillmore (15th) and Club Black get my vote too.

I'd go with the First Avenue show back in August 1983. It was amazing. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

trojan horse aftershow is the fuckin best
but copehagen vega is one of the tightest aftershows i ever heard "twist his neck" Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

I forgot about the Club Black show on the night of his induction, (at which I was front row) Legendary show! The Org is the short yellow bus of the Prince Internet fan community.

But seriously, you all need the following in your collection:
08.03.82 First Avenue, Minneapolis (75 minutes) P premiered "All The Critics Love U In New York" during this one off show, where he also duetted with Sue Ann Carwell on "Still Waiting". Not only was P's guitar peeling the paint off the walls during most of this gig, but it gave us all a chance to experience some entertaining bantering between P and Morris Day, who that night proved himself to be the best drummer The Revolution never had. . "You don't frighten us, English pig dogs. Go and boil your bottoms, sons of a silly person."

Add this one to the list:
25.10.84 Prince making a scorching guitar cameo on Sheila E's gig, during "Too Sexy"... Before P, along with Bobby Z, Brownmark and Jerome bring the house down over at 7th Street Entry with an inspired, mostly blues infused, 25 minute set that has forced some colleagues of mine to revise their opinion on Prince as being nothing more than a overpainted primadonna. . "You don't frighten us, English pig dogs. Go and boil your bottoms, sons of a silly person."

And it beats me why everybody has so far neglected to mention another one-off gig, most commonly known as "4 Those Of U On Valium":
21.03.87 First Avenue, Minneapolis (65 minutes) But the very best aftershow of the SOTT Tour was this one, without question: 15.06.87 (AM) (55 minutes), at Le New Morning club. The latter is the one that never fails to make uninitiated jaws drop when they hear it . "You don't frighten us, English pig dogs. Go and boil your bottoms, sons of a silly person."

I would also add the mostly Madhouse set at the Fine Line Cafe in Minneapolis, when P and the SOTT band (then billed as "The Fine Liners")impressed both teenyboppers and seasoned Jazz buffs for 90 minutes.
05.12.87 Minneapolis. Pity that the poor sound quality on this means this show is so underrated with collectors. But it really is excellent. . "You don't frighten us, English pig dogs. Go and boil your bottoms, sons of a silly person."

I think the 80's were pretty well capped by the near legendary New Year's benefit gig at Paisley Park, featuring Miles Davis.
Better get the circulating DVD of this to get the full flavour . "You don't frighten us, English pig dogs. Go and boil your bottoms, sons of a silly person."
