Prince, T in the Park

Somebody told me last night there was talk of prince playing t in the park in scotland this year. I naturally took this as bullshit, however she seemed pretty certain that this is the case. I asked who she heard it from and she said a friend of a friend. Bull or no bull, i am excited. Anyway i was curious to know why prince would choose a scottish festival over one of the larger english venues like leeds or glastonbury. To be perfectly honest, i think if we do see prince in the uk at all in the next year or 2, it will be more than likely be a festival.

He was rumored to play glasto last year. Prince is strongly rumored 2b headlining this year with Kylie and U2.

What the hell has happened to Glastonbury?!? Those do not sound like your typical "sling-the-mud-on-the-performers" -type of acts. Oh, Kylie. There goes your dress.

And Prince's as well, for that matter.

Nothing has happened to Glastonbury, other than it getting more and more diverse each year. Glastonbury has always had the most eclectic selection of acts anywhere in the world.

Prince really should grace its Pyramid stage - he'd be one of the best acts ever (and I've seen some true legends there - Bowie, Waters, Brown, Page & Plant - Prince belongs on the list of luminaries).

If the T in the Park rumours are to be believed, could this be part of a UK tour this Summer, along with a few festival appearances? I hope so biggrin

A friend of a friend of somebody, eh? Can't get any more definite than that! biggrin Still, I hope it's true for the contingent of Scots on the Org...
