Little Richards quote

"A hole Little sumthing, beats a hole lotta nothing"

Now how U feel about this?
We always say that prince is underrated and hardly ever gets talked about how great his music is and what he has done 4 the music industry, But what if prince brought out an album every 3years and tour every so often, what if he brought out as many albums as MJ or other artists who r considered legends, do U reckon media would of changed around prince?

Just a thought as i was reading the Nude tour programme!

Well, when he took two years we got Purple Rain-personally, what I consider the best album of his career.

I think waiting two years would give him longer to build up more good material in the studio and make fans appreciate it a lot more.

Honestly, his whole one album (at least) per year and picking bad singles thing have been the biggest problems with his career.

It hurt him when he released ATWIAD so soon after PR, and it's just always oversaturated the market a little.

He should be even more appreciated than he is now, but some albums have gotten lost in the shuffle cause they were released so quickly after one another.

The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

"You still wanna take me to prison...just because I won't trade humanity for patriotism."

Anxiety

i think some artists, like prince or woody allen, consider their art to be their job. both put out products every year just like clockwork, and they both have an incredibly demanding work ethic.

sometimes i think the product that both of them put out seems unfinished and half-baked. sometimes i think their work seems more like sketches than a strong finished product ready to be absorbed by the masses. but then again, ask me about that same "sketch" five years later, and i might just say that with time, that album or film has gained more of my favor.

i think that as long as an artist's work is a labor of joy instead of that of obligation, it's valid work. it's certainly better than waiting over a decade for a new kate bush album, bless her.

IMO, he cannot take his time with albums. They're just done so fast. You know if he didn't put them out when they're ready, they won't get released at all because he would work on the next.
I think to say he should take at least two years and then put the best of from that time on a great album, is simply unrealistic.

The album is either great when he's done with it after two months or it's not and won't be.

But i sumtimes fink that Prince had run outta ideas, and cus he has released so much music which is so different, that he has run dry of idea's, like a lot of musicians when they get older!
