Dead on it

I vote this the best track off "black album". I never hear that album much, but when I do, I onl yreally hear this track. So damn funky with the beatbox and everything!

This song woulda caused alot of controversy if officially released/ U reckon it woulda done?

Second goes to "cindy c", so not all bad then

One of my fav Prince songs. Prince sure didn't like rap back then though.....

Yeah Bob is cool. I liked it during L"ovesexy", what was Prince thinking?

Prince had funny alter egos and madness in the 80's at times.....not so much so in the 90's. On the outside he was more weird, though confusinly his music was more normal? Like "new power soul".....how shockinly dull was that album? But thats y Prince is cool though. Where the fuck will he go next?.....

"See the rapper, problems, usually stem from being tone deaf."

He knew this in 1987.... so why oh why did he do a 180 and hire Tony M and the likes?

"Pack the house then try 2 sing, there won't be no one left!"

I always think of this when I here someone like Ja Rule or the like try to "sing" on some of their raps (e.g. with J. Lo on I'm Real).

I used to always say that line and a dre fan I used to know would look at me like "WTF, how dare u say that albout rap, I thought u like rap too".....maybe Prince at the time took rapping too seriously and my mate proved that he does too. I got a right earful. biggrin

I like rap, just ain't all senstive about it thats all.

I love this song. I love when the Kid has that fearless FUCK YOU attitude.

oh yeah dead on it basically sums up Prince's whole attitude towards rap at that time and the black album showcases P's resentment and dissolusionment with the rise of rap. Remember 1988 was one of rap's finest years to date. But RockHardInAFunkyPlace is my favorite cut off the black album.
I'm an org elitist... totally unapproachable.
