the organisers of t in the park are looking for a rock superstar to top the bill this summer.my spies tell me top of there wish list is PRINCE. i hear firm approaches have been made and he could headline the main stage at the next event on july 9 and 10 at balado near kinross - if the price is right. princes sellout m tour was the biggest money-spinning tour in the usa in 2004. the pint-sized singer was in dazzling form and performed a greatest hits set which wowed fans.

a prince insider told me " prince playing t in the park is a real possibility . so is an appearance at glastonbury." i hear other acts considered for balado are green day doves the foo fighters and feeder.

this guy is usually bang on he said 7 weeks ago u2 would announce they were playing hampden park on june 21 2005 and this,.... will be announced on wed !

the down side is also,.... last year billy sloan said " prince had checked out the secc for dates and he was told prince would play glasgow" (that year 2004) !

he's usually accurate , but doesnt always get it right ! hey nobody's perfect .

oh god, do we have to have those Glastonbury rumours again this year!

Last year a friend of mine who works for the people who put on the V festivals told me that they've been trying to get Prince to do V for ages. I was told that they offered him alot of money but he was not interested.

This would be the perfect time to do Glastonbury - the festival is bigger and better than ever at the moment - it can only go down - in a few years it might not have the same impact, but at the moment it is a big deal to appear there, gets lots of people and especially radio DJs talking for weeks after, which would be the perfect exposure Prince needs to get back in the UK public's eye as a musician not a wierdo.

But will he?

I know Glastonbury is a very special place to everyone and myself included but I do wonder why do people want to see him there?

The 1st time I went in 95 I wondered about this posibility, then when there was like a million fence jumpers in 99 and you couldn't get anywhere near the stage, I did wonder what was the point of going to see anyone playing there!

everyones played there,..... oasis , the prodigy, goldfrapp , red hot chilli peps , paul weller , the white stripes , lots o different stages , new bands indie bands pop bands big names !!! u name it they played it ,.. exept PRINCE YET !
