Did Prince do or write a song called "Dance"? I think I made a thread about this long before, but I can't remember any of the responses I got.
But sometimes when I look up "Prince unreleased/rare" on file-sharing programs, a song called "Dance" comes up. When I download it, it doesn't have Prince singing on it, but it has some Prince vocals It sounds like an 80s song and I think the name of the song is called "Shall We Dance" according to the chorus. But did write a song called "Dance" for another artist? 'Shall We Dance' is a track Prince wrote for his ex bass player Brown Mark. It was released on his album 'Good Feeling' released in 1989 Prince also contributed backing vocals to a track called 'Bang Bang' on the same album.  if you've gotta pay for things that you've done wrong I've gotta big bill coming at the end of the day- Gil Scott Heron

I downloaded it too, and thank GOD I did because I discovered Brown Marks "Shall We Dance" for the first time..Oh god I was blown away. I played that damn song OUT!!!!! I love that jam  Straight Jacket Funk Affair

"dance" is a prince boot, it sounds like it from the batman era!
BTW NouveauDance "The dance" is a totally different song, and may i add 100% better
