Observation about Prince's seat... When you consider that he's alienated much of the 'biz' and hasn't
even sniffed at a hit single in forever...i find it amazing that Prince can still get primo seats for these awards shows...front row wherever he goes. That brotha's gotta be livin' right... Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Prince is music royalty, right up there with the likes of Diana Ross, Tina Turner, Cher, Elton John, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, or Madonna. These people don't ever have to record another hit again and will still be loved. Andy is a four letter word.

Well said, evcen though we may consider Prince not old enough to be a legend, the younger kids think of him that way. Steview Wonder is now like Little Richard was to us.. ______________________________________________

Ain't got nothin' to do with his fame or notoriety. They give him the front row 'cause it's easier than stacking all those phone books in the seat so he can see. I've gone to find myself. If I should return before I get back, keep me here.

Certain people, of whatever industry, will always get first-class treatment, even if they haven't done anything new in ages. Especially when they have an aura of mystery.
Think about how many non-fans werelike "Oh, isn't that Prince? I thought he never came out to play and there he is. Let me see. (now you can sell me some toothpaste!) Names that come to mind for first class treatment include Tom Cruise, Jack Nicholson, Al Pacino, Meryl Streep, and whomever is the hottest flavor of the month (it's a ratings issue here --- they're hot because people want to see them.. so up front they go). For example, there was a time when Britney Spears would be in the front, Backstreet Boys. For the big names, I think the show producers are thinking, "who would I put these people behind"? Come here, babe.. yeah...

What I liked was the way the lights went purple, the prince music in the background, the standing ovation!!! Made me feel like a proud mommy!

OMG I was thinking the same thing. That’s always amazed me how he gets front row seats. I totally love it! There’s been a few times in the past when he has sat a few seats behind front row but overall P has been treated very special throughout the majority of his career. I mentioned this once be4 when he was front row at the Lake games. He will probably always get front row seats after all the money he brought 2 the Staple Center on the Musicology tour. Remember he was only schedule 2 perform 4 one night only and ended up performing 3 or 4 more sold out shows by popular demand. lol…..I notice 2 that he opened 4 the Grammy’s, RRHOF and the PC awards. Remember when he performed in New Orleans under his own conditions. He made it clear it had 2 be his way or he wouldn’t perform. P is diffidently getting the Royal Purple Treatment

Maybe they're letting him sit in the front row just `cause he's so short...otherwise he wouldn't see anything!

The only seat I care about are those two sweet tender buns that follow Prince where ever he goes.
Haters travel in packs and they are offended or threatened by klhk, haters express intense hostility toward the subject of hate. Haters are annoyed and roll thier eyes when klhk is paid a compliment. ask yourself, are u a hater?
